Case Study

Faculty from Hult International Business School and the IXL Center, led by Dr. Hitendra Patel, Director of the Innovation Program at Hult and Managing Director of the IXL Center, will work with the CEO and leadership teams of Habitat for Humanity, OneLaptopPerChild, and SolarAid to capture a challenge that each NGO is facing in a case study format.

The case study will take a deep dive into the challenge being tackled and valuable insights to both the industry and the successes and failures of each of the partner NGOs will be documented. More than 50 hours of consulting advisory will also be provided to each partner NGO as the IXL Center will utilize its proprietary framework to identify the key issues being faced and frame a specific challenge, that when solved, can create a tipping point in the market place.

Participants will not be limited to the information available in the case study, and are encouraged to seek out knowledge from any resource available. The published case study is not your “traditional” case study. Instead of concentrating on a historical series of events and outcomes, the Hult GCC case studies capture real-time information and knowledge, and transfers that learning to it’s readership. Since the outcomes of the case studies have not yet occurred, it is critical that participants stay up-to-date on recent developments that may take place in the marketplace between the time the case study is released and the regional competitions.

Given the dynamic nature of the case study, new real-time information will be given on the day of the regional event, while a specific challenge question will be drafted around the case study and distributed to the selected competitors at the same time the case studies are released.
